Proteced UV-Enhanced Aluminum Plano Mirror, 250-600nm
Borofloat™33 is a premium borosilicate glass featuring low thermal expansion and excellent thermal shock resistance, making it an ideal substrate for a wide range of optical reflective components.
Tuniu UV-enhanced aluminum mirrors feature a protective UV-transparent silicon dioxide dielectric overcoat deposited on the aluminum-coated Borofloat 33 substrate, effectively preventing metal oxidation and ensuring long-term stability. This broadband UV reflective coating delivers high durability and an average reflectivity greater than 90% across the 250–600 nm wavelength range.
Note: Due to the nature of metallic coating materials, extended exposure to open air, high humidity or corrosive chemical vapors may cause oxidation and degrade optical performance. This product is considered a consumable item. To preserve performance and service life, please observe the following handling guidelines:
- Maintain a clean and dry environment before use.
- Wear gloves during handling to avoid direct contact with the reflective surface.
- Protect the mirror from physical damage (scratches and abrasions will accelerate oxidation and coating delamination).
- When not in use, store the mirror sealed in its supplied protective case.
