Protected Aluminum Plano Mirror, 450nm-20.0μm
Borofloat 33 is a premium borosilicate glass featuring low thermal expansion and excellent thermal shock resistance, serving as an ideal substrate for a wide range of optical reflector applications.
Tuniu protected aluminum flat mirrors adopt Borofloat 33 substrates coated with aluminum film, topped with a silicon dioxide dielectric overcoat to effectively resist metal oxidation. Widely applied in laboratory and industrial scenarios, protected aluminum coatings deliver superior environmental stability than protected silver films under high temperature and high humidity conditions, while maintaining reflectivity nearly equivalent to bare aluminum coatings.
With a silica protective layer, these aluminum mirrors are well suited for broadband reflection in visible and near-infrared bands, achieving an average reflectivity over 93% across the 450–700 nm spectral range.
Notice: Metallic coatings are susceptible to gradual oxidation when exposed to prolonged ambient air, high humidity or corrosive gases, which may degrade optical performance. This product is classified as a consumable optical component. To maintain stable performance and extend service life, please comply with the guidelines below:
- Store and operate in a clean, dry environment.
- Wear gloves during handling to prevent direct contact with the optical surface.
- Avoid scratches, abrasions and other mechanical damage, which will accelerate coating oxidation and delamination.
- Seal and store the mirror in the original protective case when not in use.
Tuniu supplies high-precision optical mirrors with multiple substrate options, along with custom solutions for special sizes and coating specifications.
