DKDP Pockels Cell

The DKDP Pockels Cell is a high-performance electro-optic modulator, specifically engineered for large-aperture, high-power, and narrow-pulse-width laser systems. Fabricated with high-quality deuterated potassium dihydrogen phosphate (DKDP) crystals and integrated with advanced manufacturing technologies, this product guarantees exceptional optical quality and consistent operational performance.

Tuniu’s DKDP Pockels Cell adopts low-absorption and high-deuterium material, with dielectric anti-reflective coating featuring high damage threshold for the required wavelength. The operating voltage is independent of the crystal aperture, thus enabling the provision of large apertures; due to its low group velocity dispersion (GVD), it is suitable for femtosecond applications, and a single-crystal-based three-terminal design can be provided upon request.

Key Features

1. Exceptional Optical Quality: As a uniaxial crystal, the DKDP crystal features a transmittance of up to 98% and extremely low wavefront distortion, which ensures the high-quality transmission of laser beams.

2. High Extinction Ratio: Tested with a 632 nm He-Ne laser, the extinction ratio of the DKDP Pockels Cell is more than 2000:1.

3. Low-Capacitance Design: With a capacitance of less than 8 pF, the device achieves an ultra-short rise time (<0.5 ns), making it suitable for generating narrow-pulse-width laser pulses in Q-switched laser systems.

4. High Damage Threshold: Under the test conditions of 10 ns pulse width, 1064 nm wavelength, and 10 Hz repetition rate, the damage threshold exceeds 1 GW/cm², ensuring long-term stable operation in high-power laser systems.

5. No Static Birefringence or Photorefractive Damage: This inherent characteristic of the DKDP crystal further improves the stability and reliability of the laser system.

6. Optical Aperture: It provides an optical aperture of 10~12 mm with an effective optical aperture of ≥90%, fully meeting the requirements of large-aperture laser systems.

7. Electrode Type & Voltage: Equipped with lead-type electrodes, the λ/4 voltage is 3400 V, which is applicable to various voltage control scenarios.
