UV Fused Silica Double Convex Lenses are precision optical components substrate-constructed from high-grade UV fused silica. Compared with conventional K9 optical glass, UV fused silica features an extended transmission spectrum covering 185 nm to 2.1 μm, delivering exceptional transmittance especially within the ultraviolet range. This material also offers a lower refractive index, superior optical homogeneity, minimal thermal expansion coefficient, excellent chemical resistance and extremely low fluorescence performance, making it an ideal substrate for a wide variety of high-precision optical components.

Double convex lenses feature a positive focal length with two convex surfaces of equal curvature, designed to focus incident light into a precise focal spot. This symmetric configuration provides optimal aberration correction when the conjugate ratio between object and image distance ranges from 5:1 to 1:5; for magnification requirements outside this range, plano-convex lenses are generally more suitable.
