Uncoated UV Fused Silica Ball Lenses
UV Fused Silica Ball Lenses excel at enhancing signal coupling and improving signal quality between optical fibers, emitters and detectors. They are also widely used in endoscopes, barcode scanning, preform fabrication of aspherical lenses, sensors and other optical applications. Benefiting from the short back focal length, ball lenses minimize the required distance between the lens and optical fiber, making them perfectly suited for fiber optic systems.
Compared with K9 optical glass, UV fused silica features a broader spectral transmission range of 185nm–2.1μm and superior transmittance in the ultraviolet band. It also provides lower refractive index, better optical homogeneity, smaller thermal expansion coefficient, outstanding chemical resistance and extremely low fluorescence, making it an ideal material for manufacturing various high-precision optical components.
