Cubic Reference Prism
K9 Cube Reference Prisms are precision regular hexahedron optical alignment components with ultra-high angular accuracy between adjacent surfaces, with typical angle errors ranging from 2 to 5 arcseconds. Three to five adjacent faces are coated with reflective films and engraved with crosshair reticles. During the development and assembly of precision instruments, the normal lines of the prism’s reflective surfaces can be measured directly via electronic theodolites to establish a precise cube coordinate system, which accurately defines and calibrates the spatial position of the tested products and equipment.
Fabricated from premium K9 optical glass, these reference prisms feature excellent broadband transmittance across the spectral range of 350 nm to 2000 nm. The material offers high hardness, strong resistance to physical and chemical corrosion, and extremely low levels of bubbles and inclusions, making it an ideal substrate for manufacturing high-precision optical and metrological components.
Tuniu Optics supplies standard K9 Cube Reference Prisms in three common sizes: 10 mm, 15 mm and 20 mm. Custom-sized and customized configurations tailored to specific precision measurement and calibration requirements are also available upon request.
