Calcium Fluoride(CaF2) Windows
Calcium Fluoride (CaF₂) Windows are precision plane-parallel optical plates, primarily serving as protective viewports for electronic sensors and environmental detection equipment. Key performance indicators for selection include substrate material, spectral transmittance, transmission wavelength range, surface figure, surface quality and parallelism tolerance, to meet diverse high-precision optical application requirements.
CaF₂ material features an extremely broad transmission spectrum covering 180 nm to 8.0 μm, accompanied by a high laser damage threshold, low fluorescence and excellent optical homogeneity. Though relatively soft and prone to surface scratches, calcium fluoride is ideal for laser collimation systems and serves as a premium substrate for manufacturing various optical components such as lenses and optical windows.
