Zinc Sulfide(ZnS) Windows
Zinc Sulfide (ZnS) Windows are high-precision plane-parallel optical plates, generally applied as protective viewports for electronic sensors and environmental detection systems. Proper selection should take into account key specifications including substrate material, spectral transmittance, transmission wavelength range, surface figure, surface quality and parallelism tolerance to ensure optimal optical system performance.
ZnS is a chemically inert, yellow-colored infrared optical material with excellent refractive index uniformity and consistency. Featuring a broad transmission range from 800 nm to 12 μm, zinc sulfide is widely used for manufacturing infrared optical components such as infrared windows and lenses.
Tuniu Optics supplies ZnS windows in uncoated and anti-reflection coated versions, including double-sided IR2 (8–12 μm) broadband AR coating options for professional infrared applications.
