Zinc Selenide(ZnSe) Windows
Uncoated ZnSe windows feature high optical transmittance over a wide spectral range from 600 nm visible light to 16.0 μm infrared band, with detailed transmission performance available in the corresponding transmittance curve. Benefiting from extremely low inherent absorption, zinc selenide is perfectly suited for HeNe laser applications at 633 nm and high-power CO₂ laser systems operating at 10.6 μm.
Safety Notice: ZnSe is classified as a hazardous and irritant material. Prolonged or direct skin contact may cause dermatitis, and contact with acids will trigger decomposition to release toxic hydrogen selenide gas, which irritates the eyes and respiratory tract. Personal protective equipment including a filtered dust mask, chemical safety goggles and impermeable work garments must be worn during all handling and processing operations.
