90° Proteced UV-Enhanced Aluminum Off-Axis Parabolic Mirrors, 250-450nm
Off-axis parabolic (OAP) reflectors are truncated segments of a parabolic surface, with varying off-axis angles across the aperture.
Tuniu’s 90° off-axis parabolic reflectors feature a 90° off-axis design, adopting UV-enhanced aluminum coating protected by a magnesium fluoride overcoat. They are ideal for beam focusing and collimation. The UV-enhanced aluminum reflective film delivers high reflectivity for the wavelength range of 250–450 nm, offering excellent optical performance in ultraviolet and visible bands. These reflectors are widely applied in Schlieren systems, spectroscopic instruments, and laser systems for laser beam focusing.
The outer magnesium fluoride protective layer effectively prevents the aluminum film from deliquescence and peeling under high humidity, avoiding degradation of optical performance.
Available standard diameters are 12.7 mm, 25.4 mm and 50.8 mm, with corresponding reflective focal length ranges of 6.35–152.4 mm, 12.7–152.4 mm and 50.8–2032 mm respectively.
Precautions
The metallic coating is prone to oxidation upon prolonged exposure to air, high humidity, or chemically corrosive atmospheres, which will compromise optical performance. This product is categorized as a consumable optical component. To maintain stable performance and service life, please follow the handling and storage guidelines below:
- Always keep the working and storage environment clean and dry.
- Wear gloves during operation to avoid direct contact with the reflective surface.
- Prevent surface scratches and abrasions, as such damage will accelerate oxidation and coating delamination.
- Seal and store the reflector in the original protective case when not in use.
