Protected Silver Concave Mirror, 450nm-20.0μm
Borofloat 33 is a premium borosilicate glass with low thermal expansion and excellent thermal shock resistance, serving as an ideal substrate for various optical reflector applications. Tuniu’s silver film concave mirrors with protective layers feature a silicon dioxide dielectric overcoat on the silver-plated Borofloat 33 substrate, effectively preventing surface silver film oxidation.
While the protective layer provides anti-oxidation protection for the silver film, the mirrors are not suitable for high-temperature or high-humidity environments. Harsh conditions can compromise the protective layer’s performance, leading to silver film oxidation and performance degradation.
The composite coating delivers superior broadband reflectivity for infrared light, along with excellent performance in visible and near-infrared regions. It achieves an average reflectivity of over 96% in the 450-1100 nm wavelength range and more than 98.5% in the 1.1-20μm range.
Designed for focusing, imaging, and light-concentrating applications, the mirror features extremely low intrinsic group delay dispersion (GDD) within its operating wavelength range, making it highly suitable for focusing or redirecting lasers emitted by femtosecond laser systems.
Attention
Due to the special nature of the metal film, prolonged exposure to air, high humidity, or chemical corrosive gases may cause oxidation, affecting product performance. This product is classified as a consumable. To ensure normal use and extend its service life, please follow the following storage and usage guidelines:
1. Keep the environment clean and dry before use.
2. Wear gloves during operation to avoid direct contact with the mirror surface.
3. Avoid damaging the product (scratches, abrasions, etc., will accelerate oxidation and coating delamination).
4. When not in temporary use, seal and store it in the accompanying protective box.
