Silicon Plano Convex (PCX) Lenses
Silicon Plano Convex (PCX) Lenses are precision optical components manufactured using high-purity silicon as the substrate material. Silicon is a widely adopted optical material for infrared applications, offering a transmission range of 1.2 μm to 8.0 μm and excellent thermal conductivity. Ideal as a foundational substrate for lenses, windows and various other optical elements, silicon is extensively deployed in near-infrared and mid-infrared systems, as well as infrared imaging, terahertz imaging, medical optics and military-grade optical applications.
With a positive focal length and a classic plano-convex structure featuring one flat surface and one convex surface, silicon PCX lenses are designed for precise aiming and focusing of monochromatic light sources. When integrated with other optical lenses, these silicon plano convex lenses support versatile optical tasks, including beam shaping, collimation, beam expansion and beam compression. Standard IR1 broadband AR coatings optimized for the 3.0–5.0 μm infrared waveband are offered to meet diverse spectral application requirements.
