N-BK7 Plano-Convex Lenses, Uncoated, AR350-700/650-1100/1050-1700/400-1100nm
Plano-convex lenses feature a positive focal length, ideal for focusing parallel light to a precise focal spot or collimating light emitted from point sources. Due to their asymmetric profile, these lenses effectively minimize spherical aberration for optical systems requiring non-equal object and image distances, especially when the absolute magnification is below 0.2 or above 5. The optimal configuration is set with the object at infinity, allowing parallel incident light to form a sharp image at the lens focal point.
Tuniu plano-convex lenses are fabricated from high-quality N-BK7 borosilicate crown glass. As a widely preferred optical material, N-BK7 delivers outstanding optical performance with cost-effective pricing. It features excellent homogeneity, minimal bubbles and low impurities, alongside superior machinability, making it perfectly suited for visible and near-infrared applications. For projects without strict requirements for ultraviolet transmittance and low thermal expansion, N-BK7 serves as an ideal alternative to UV fused silica.
Tuniu offers plano-convex lenses with standard diameters ranging from 12.7 mm to 50.8 mm. Customers can choose uncoated lenses with broad spectral coverage and high laser damage threshold, or anti-reflection (AR) coated versions optimized for 350–700 nm, 650–1100 nm and 1050–1700 nm wavebands. The AR coatings effectively reduce surface reflection within the working spectral range, with single-sided average reflectivity below 0.5%, significantly improving overall optical transmittance.
