Positive Achromatic Lenses, AR400-1100nm
Tuniu Optics Visible-NIR dual-band achromatic cemented positive lenses are designed for color correction, which can minimize or eliminate chromatic aberration. An achromatic lens, also known as a doublet cemented lens, is composed of two lenses with different refractive indices and dispersion rates cemented together. For optimal performance, the surface with the larger radius of curvature (the flatter side) should face away from the collimated beam.
In addition, the achromatic design helps minimize optical aberrations for light sources over a broad wavelength range (composite light sources), and reduces spherical aberration and chromatic aberration simultaneously. Compared with optical systems using single lenses, achromatic lenses deliver much clearer imaging and further improve overall optical performance. Achromatic lenses are widely applied in fluorescence microscopy, image detection, spectroscopy and other fields. They can form a smaller light spot than single-piece lenses.
