UVFS Negative Meniscus Lenses, Uncoated/AR250-1700nm
Tuniu Optics negative meniscus lenses are designed to minimize spherical aberration. A negative meniscus lens consists of one convex surface and one concave surface, where the concave surface has a larger radius of curvature. When combined with another lens, it reduces the numerical aperture of the optical system. Negative meniscus lenses are commonly used in beam expansion applications.
Tuniu Optics negative meniscus lens is thinner at the center than at the edge, causing incident light to diverge. Its design aims to suppress third-order spherical aberration to the greatest extent. When used for beam divergence, the convex side of the negative meniscus lens should face the incident beam, which can minimize spherical aberration optimally. They are usually assembled with other lenses to increase the focal length and reduce the numerical aperture (NA).
Our negative meniscus lenses are made of UV-grade fused silica. Compared with H-K9L optical glass, UV fused silica features a broader transmission spectrum covering 185 nm–2.1 μm and delivers excellent transmittance in the ultraviolet band. It has a lower refractive index, superior optical homogeneity and a smaller thermal expansion coefficient. In addition, it provides outstanding chemical resistance and extremely low fluorescence, making it an ideal material for manufacturing various optical components.
