UV Fused Silica Windows
High Precision UV Fused Silica Windows are plane-parallel optical plates, commonly adopted as protective windows for electronic sensors and environmental detection devices. Key selection parameters include substrate material, spectral transmittance, transmission wavelength range, surface figure, surface quality and parallelism tolerance. Designed to shield sensitive sensors, detectors and optical components, these windows effectively avoid light saturation and optical damage.
Compared with K9 optical glass, UV fused silica features a broader transmission spectrum from 185 nm to 2.1 μm and outstanding transmittance in the UV band. It also delivers lower refractive index, superior optical homogeneity, smaller thermal expansion coefficient, excellent chemical resistance and extremely low fluorescence, making it ideal for manufacturing a wide range of optical elements.
