B270 Aspheric Lenses, AR350-700/650-1100nm
Standard spherical lenses suffer from spherical aberration, limiting their performance in scenarios requiring large acceptance angles, such as illumination spotlights. By contrast, aspherical lenses sustain consistent focal lengths and deliver superior numerical aperture (NA), effectively eliminating spherical aberration without additional corrective optical elements.
This optimization streamlines optical system configuration, reduces component counts and structural complexity. Fewer optical surfaces also minimize transmission loss and suppress ghost images. Compared with conventional spherical lenses, aspherical condenser lenses feature higher NA, larger clear aperture and lower f‑number, making them ideal for light collection, focusing, projection and detection applications. Typical use cases include fiber light coupling, source beam collimation and beam focusing for miniature high‑speed detectors. Compact small‑diameter variants are well suited for medical devices and portable instruments, while large‑diameter lenses are designed for benchtop analytical equipment integration.
Tuniu aspherical condenser lenses are precision crafted from Schott B270® glass. Boasting high transmittance across the broad spectral range of 380-2100 nm, B270 exhibits low UV transmission and outstanding UV radiation resistance, perfectly matching high‑intensity arc lamps and similar light sources. The aspherical surface is precision molded to fully correct spherical aberration, with the second surface finely ground and polished for enhanced optical performance. For optimal optical output, install the lens with its flatter side facing the light source.
Tuniu offers aspherical condenser lenses in diameters ranging from 10 mm to 50 mm. Multiple options are available: uncoated substrates, and anti‑reflection (AR) coated versions optimized for 350–700 nm or 650–1100 nm. Our AR coatings reduce surface reflection within the operational waveband, with single‑sided average reflectivity below 0.5%, and greatly boost overall light transmittance. Customized designs for special application demands are available upon consultation with our technical team.
