UV Fused Silica Plano Concave (PCV) Lenses are high-quality optical concave lenses substrates manufactured from premium UV fused silica material. Compared with conventional K9 optical glass, UV fused silica features a wider transmission spectrum ranging from 185 nm to 2.1 μm, delivering outstanding transmittance especially in the ultraviolet spectral region. This material offers a lower refractive index, excellent optical homogeneity, and a minimal thermal expansion coefficient, along with superior chemical resistance and extremely low fluorescence, making it an ideal choice for manufacturing various precision optical components.
Featuring a negative focal length with one flat surface and one concave surface, plano concave lenses are designed to diverge incoming light beams. They are widely used for beam expansion, projection applications, and extending the focal length of optical systems. Tuniu Optics supplies UV fused silica PCV lenses in a variety of standard sizes and focal lengths, available in both uncoated and anti-reflection (AR) coated versions.
