90° Protected Silver Off-Axis Parabolic Mirrors, 450nm-20.0μm
Off-axis parabolic (OAP) reflectors are fabricated as segmented sections of a parabolic profile, with varying off-axis angles across the surface aperture.
Tuniu’s 90° off-axis parabolic reflectors feature a 90° off-axis design, adopting silver coating with a silicon dioxide protective overcoat. Capable of beam focusing and collimation, the silver reflective layer offers high reflectivity and is well suited for broadband applications. Covering the wavelength range from 450 nm to 20.0 μm, the reflectors maintain excellent optical performance across visible to infrared spectra. They are widely applied in visible and infrared optical instruments and laser systems, including Schlieren, MTF, FLIR and FTIR setups.
The silicon dioxide overcoat shields the silver film from deliquescence and peeling in high-humidity conditions, preventing deterioration of optical performance.
These reflectors feature surface roughness better than 100 Å. Standard diameters of 12.7 mm, 25.4 mm and 50.8 mm are available, with corresponding reflective focal length ranges of 6.35–152.4 mm, 12.7–152.4 mm and 50.8–2032 mm.
Precautions
The metallic silver coating is susceptible to oxidation if exposed to ambient air for extended periods, or operated under high humidity and corrosive gas environments, leading to performance degradation. This product is classified as a consumable optical component. To ensure stable performance and extended service life, please comply with the handling and storage instructions:
- Use and store the product in a clean, dry environment.
- Wear gloves during handling to avoid direct contact with the reflective surface.
- Protect the optical surface from scratches and abrasions, as surface damage will accelerate oxidation and coating delamination.
- Seal and store the reflector in the original protective case when not in use.
