UV Fused Silica Wedge Prism
UV Fused Silica Wedge Prisms are widely utilized to deflect incident light beams at a specified angle toward a required optical direction. When deployed in pairs, the relative rotation of the two wedges allows the output beam to be accurately positioned at any angle within a cone centered on the incident optical axis. The optimized wedge angle and anti-reflection coating on the rear surface effectively reduce ghost image interference caused by back-surface reflection, while high-precision substrates ensure superior wavefront accuracy for both transmitted and reflected light.
Compared with K9 optical glass, UV fused silica features an extended spectral transmission range from 185 nm to 2.1 μm and excellent transmittance in the ultraviolet band. It provides a lower refractive index, higher optical homogeneity, a smaller thermal expansion coefficient, enhanced chemical resistance and extremely low fluorescence performance, making it the ideal material for ultraviolet optical applications.
