Economy UVFS Plano-concave Cylindrical Lenses, Uncoated/AR250-450nm
Tuniu Optics UV fused silica plano-concave cylindrical lenses are composed of one plano surface and one concave cylindrical surface with a negative focal length. They are widely used to focus parallel or diverging beams into a linear spot or adjust the aspect ratio of images.
Negative cylindrical lenses function similarly to plano-concave spherical lenses, but only refract light along a single axis. This series of negative cylindrical lenses performs well in one-dimensional beam expansion and is suitable for applications requiring one-dimensional shaping of point light sources. A typical application is converting a collimated laser beam into a line beam with a single cylindrical lens. A pair of cylindrical lenses can be adopted for image shaping. To minimize spherical aberration during beam divergence, orient the curved surface of the lens toward the light source.
Compared with H-K9L optical glass, UV fused silica features a broader transmission spectrum from 185 nm to 2.1 μm and offers high transmittance in the ultraviolet band. It possesses a lower refractive index, superior optical homogeneity, and a smaller thermal expansion coefficient. Meanwhile, it provides excellent chemical resistance and extremely low fluorescence, making it an ideal material for manufacturing various optical components.
